The gorgeous plush white tiger has lovely white fur, chocolate stripes, blue eyes and a pink nose. Contrary to popular belief, white tigers are not albino versions of their non white tiger family. It is common to view a plush white tiger cub with a regular orange colored female tiger. The mother does not have to have white fur, only have the gene to pass to her cubs that can make them white.
White tigers are more observed in sancatuaries or zoos around the world. It is rare to find a plush white tiger in the wild due to them being an endangered species. There are only an estimated amount of 5,000 - 7,000 tigers left in the entire world. White tigers found in the wild live around 10 years. However those in
conservation areas live twice as long.
The tiger cat species are the largest cats in the world. A plush white tiger can have a body length from 4.5 feet to 9 feet and weigh up to 500 pounds. Their tails alone can be an additional 4 feet long. The white tiger can adapt to any environment. Some tigers live in tropical jungles, while some prefer freezing cold forests. White tigers can catch their prey during the day and at night. However, during the dark night, tigers have amazing night vision to see their prey. Their night vision is six times better than any human. A plush white tiger also have huge long claws that are retractable just like our domestic felines.
Additionally, white tigers are incredibly beautiful and very powerful animals. Did you know that a plush white tiger can take down an animal weighing more than a ton! Not only are they strong but they are also flexible enough to jump more than 30 feet, quickly climb trees, and amazingly even swim for miles.
Throughout history, the plush white tiger has been loved by many cultures and has even brought symbolic meaning. For instance, the white tiger represents the west and the autumn season as one of four Chinese constellations in the sky.
