Stuffed bats are non agressive, gentle, nocturnal creatures. Many people throughout the globe have a fear of bat plush but they will not harm you in any way.
There are over forty bat stuffed species just in the United States. Around the world there have been over one thousand bat plush species found. The bat, which is the only mammal with the ability to fly, has been known to live for up to forty years.
The bat plush make look similar to rodents, however they are more related to primates. These creatures come in all sizes. The smallest bat stuffed in the world, known as "bumblebee" weighs no more than one dime. Most of the bat species can fit into the palm of your hand. However, the largest recorded bat plush, called "lyle" has a total width of six feet long! With their long wings, bats have been found flying two miles high to catch their prey.
The daily diet of stuffed bats are insects. This mammal can eat up to one thousand mosquitoes every hour! A family of stuffed bats, which are around 150 can help a farmer fight off 33 million rootworms during just the summer season. A cave full of bats can eat up to 250 tons of insects every night. Some bat plush species also munch on centipedes and scorpions due to becoming immuned to their stings.
Contrary to popular belief, a bat stuffed is a very clean creature, due to continously grooming themselves when they are awake and not eating. They are very social creatures and can live in a group of up to twenty million bats! They have been known to adopt any orphaned babies. Plus, they like to share their food with other family members and friends, especially if one is not feeling well. Female stuffed bats can only have one baby every year, which is why this species is vulnerable to becoming extinct. They're are many already on the endangered list and populations are decreasing every year. With this continual loss, it can jeopardize entire ecosystems and results in the human population to use more chemical pesticides.
