The Adorable Penguin Stuffed Animal
What is it that makes penguins the adorable and popular creatures they are? Is it their cute waddling walk or their tuxedo coloring? Whatever it is, stuffed penguins are just as beloved as the real thing – having one is the next best thing to a teddy bear!
Penguin Stuffed Animals & Facts
The Emperor Penguins depicted in March of the Penguins, are the largest of the 17 species of penguin that exist. They are three and a half feet tall and weigh up to 75 pounds and more. The smallest penguin plush is called the Fairy Penguin (or “Little Blues”due to their blue and gray colored feathers) and is only 16 to 17 inches tall!
Magellanic Penguin Stuffed Animals
It’s estimated that as many as 40,000 Magellanic penguins are killed every year in Argentina and the Faukland Islands because of oil pollution. In 2008, though, the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) scored 2 victories for these penguins by getting a ban on commercial fishing in Argentina at Burdwood Bank and the creation of a marine park located at Golfo San Jorge – both of these places are major habitats for these birds.
Polar Bear Stuffed Animals & Facts
It is believed that polar bears evolved some 200,000 years ago from ancestors of the brown bear. Their bodies are designed to withstand the extreme cold temperatures of the Far North. Their skin and fur allows their bodies to absorb warmth from the sun and the blubber (or fat) they are covered in protects them against the frigid waters they frequently swim in.
Only Cuddle With A Plush Polar Bear
Polar bears are known under the scientific name as Ursus maritimus, which means “sea bear.” They are the largest land predator and the largest bear in the bear family. While they are deadly, at first glance, they don’t really look so imposing despite their enormous size; they look like a plush polar bear stuffed animal does: huggable and oh so soft.
