White Tiger Stuffed Animals
White Tiger Stuffed Animal Facts:
White tiger stuffed animals vary from their ordinary orange and black striped bengal tiger relatives. These gorgeous White tiger stuffed animals have beautiful blue eyes, a pink nose, and brown or black stripes with soft white fur. However, contrary to popular belief white tiger stuffed animals are not albino versions of the Bengal tiger. The reason a white tiger is not born with "regular" orange colors is due to having an recessive gene. Bengal tigers give birth to white tiger stuffed animals only when they contain a double dose of this mutant allele.
These gorgeous white tiger stuffed animals are seldomly seen in the wild. No one knows the exact number of white tigers currently living in their natural environment. However, only about twelve white tigers have been viewed and recorded in India over the past century. Unfortunately the tiger population has drastically decreased due to hunting of the tiger species. Earlier this century there was an estimated 40,000 bengal tigers in the wild. Now that number has dropped drastically to only 1,800 tigers. It is estimated that out of every 10,000 "regualar" bengal tigers there is only one white tiger stuffed animal born. There are also records showing fully white tigers being born with no visible stipes. The striped pattern is only visible under bright reflected light.
