Zebra Plush | Giant Plush Zebra
Zebra Plush Facts:
Zebra plush are equids, which are animals that can move very quickly in spite of being big. They also possess powerful teeth to be used for grinding grass. A plush zebra is similar in appearance to a horse, but has striping, a shorter mane and a shorter tail. More than 70% of any incoming heat can be deflected away from the zebra plush by its lovely coat of fur. The striped coat on the plush zebra has been found to be a good sunscreen that protects them from the solar radiation according to scientific research. The striping is also very useful for remaining unseen by nocturnal hunters. Predators hunting during the night are fooled by the black and whites stripes, which make the animals seem at a greater distance than they really are. Not only that but each plush zebra has unique stripes from all other zebra's. The zebra's pattern of stripes is just as unique and individual as our own human fingerprints are.
The three different zebra plush species that exist are found primarily in the African continent. They enjoy residing in green pastures or out on the plains. Zebra's can live in dry grassy areas during the drought, as long as water is within 20 miles. The plush zebras daily diet consists mostly of grass and they drink a lot of water.
Plush Zebras retain a close bond with other members of their families for their whole life. Family members are always watched on carefully by others in the family. When one of them has wandered off from all of the rest, they will look for the lost zebra plush until it is found. They also make their best efforts to make accommodations for all members of the herd. In order to keep pace with the ones that are hurt, weak, or old, they will actually alter or slow their overall pace to not leave any members behind. Plush zebras like to express their love by grooming each other.
Each zebra plush group has one dominant member which is a stallion, or male zebra. However, he's more so the observer and the defender of the whole family group. The females of the plush zebra herd choose a dominant "mare", a female to lead and direct the whole herd. Females almost always have a single baby or "foal" at birth. Female zebras leave the family for three days after the baby is born. The mother comes back when the baby plush zebra knows the mother by voice, sight and scent. The baby zebra plush learns this before it meets its father and then grows close to that parent as well. If the infant is a male, this zebra will exit the group when it is roughly three years old in order to be with a group of all males. He will learn from them how to grow powerful enough to lead his very own plush zebra family someday.
